Richmond Midwifery Childbirth Care (RMCC), is a partnership of two experienced midwives, Lori Miller and Sara Povey, who have come together to offer services to the women of Richmond BC and the surrounding cities and municipalities. We have a wonderful, child friendly office, and many ideas and future plans to meet the needs of childbearing women and their families. We look forward to meeting you.
As Registered Midwives in BC, we are able to provide
complete
care through your pregnancy, labour, birth and post partum period. Midwifery care is fully insured under the Medical Services Plan (MSP) of BC.
At Richmond Midwifery Childbirth Care (RMCC), the focus of our care is on
you, your partner, and your family during your childbearing
experience. The care we provide is centered on the belief that birth is
not only a normal physiological process, but also a significant event
in the life of you and your family. Our role through your special journey, is to
support you by addressing your physical, emotional, spiritual, and
cultural needs during this experience. Here at RMCC, care is individualized to each
woman. In our care, we combine the art of midwifery
including traditional knowledge and skills along with the science of
midwifery including modern medical techniques to safeguard normal
childbirth.
